There is a belief that a Native American tribe, the Lakota (Sioux) believe in. That is, there is one Creator, and everything that is living in the Universe is our relative. This children's book reminds children of the knowledge that we are all born with. Meant for primary grade children, this is a message that is universal to all ages.
Jessie Taken Alive – Rencountre teaches a program called JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) at Rapid City High School. Jessie worked for 8 years as a school counselor and was influenced to write her first children’s book after hearing many of the hurtful situations elementary children would share with her.
