Located in the northeast corner of the Museum’s sculpture garden, visitors are welcomed by granite stones engraved with family or business names, logos, children’s drawings, slogans, or memories of loved ones. We invite you to become part of this evolving sculptural work and help build upon the Museum’s endowment by purchasing your own stone today, or as a gift for another. Join the growing list of community members dedicated to the longevity of the North Dakota Museum of Art’s many programs and exhibitions.
Purchasing a stone in the Friends of the Museum Garden inches us one step closer in securing financial stability for the Museum for today and the generations that follow.
We invite you to customize your own stone. All stones are $1,200 ($200 for engraving and $1000 to the endowment). Sale of individual stones will create an endowment to underwrite general operating costs for the Museum. Once the granite stones are picked from the 100 possibilities, they are sent to an engraver to be embellished with family or business names, logos, children’s drawings, slogans, riddles, quotes from literature, or simply “anonymous”. The choice is yours.
