This curator tour and discussion will focus on the current exhibitions. Tours are free and open to the public. Parking is available in the metered lot. Please download the passport parking app or come inside with your license plate number and we will assist you. Parking is free and not enforced after 4 pm weekdays and on weekends.
Detour to Café: If you’re attending a weekday lecture stop by the Museum Café for lunch or beverages. Lunch served 11 am – 3 pm. Happy Hour is 3 – 5 pm.
Join Museum Curator Anna for an engaging tour of the exhibitions on view in the Museum galleries. The tour is designed to provide insightful context to the artwork, but also to invite discussion and questions about how these works engage with the human experience.
Anna Sigridur Arnar, Ph.D., Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art
Arnar was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Reykjavík, Iceland. She received a bachelor’s in French Literature and Art History from St. Olaf College, followed by a year studying at the department of textiles at the Iceland Academy of Arts. She earned her master’s and Ph.D. with Honors in Art History from the University of Chicago. At Minnesota State University Moorhead, she was Professor of Art History in the School of Art where she oversaw the Certificate in Museum and Cultural Heritage Professions. She also served as an affiliated faculty in the Women and Gender Studies Program.
