Walter Piehl: Retrospective

October 14, 2018 – January 17, 2019

This overview of Walter Piehl’s paintings and drawings cover the years 1962–2018. Since the exhibit spans Piehl’s entire career there are pieces from 1960 through 1964 when he was a student at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. There are several works that show the very beginnings of his most iconic Sweetheart of the Rodeo Series.

During the Walter Piehl opening Sarah Cahill will present an immersive piano performance installation titled The Future is Female and involves five hours of music by women composers from all around the globe, all performed by Cahill.
