Autumn Art Auction

Saturday, October 29, 2016

The Museum inaugurated the Auction in order to develop a buyer's market for artists living in North Dakota and the surrounding region. Importantly, although a benefit for the Museum, the artists benefit first. Since the beginning in 1999, a diverse audience of people who want to live with original art has come into being. Established collectors as well as young buyers just beginning to collect have expanded the market. A gala party, the Autumn Art Auction is an annual live auction celebrating artists from the region and those from elsewhere with ties to the Museum. All works to be auctioned are displayed for several days prior to the event.
